We believe that plan design is the highest skill level in the pension plan profession. Yet it is our experience that too many retirement plans are "designed" by a commissioned sales person who assists the plan sponsor in filling out the blanks of a readily-available prototype document. Only experienced technicians who know the many alternatives can effectively lead discussions which educate the plan sponsor so that a plan design decision can be made to fit the goals and objectives of the plan sponsor's organization - - whether that organization is a for-profit or a not-for-profit entity.

As engaged, the Firm can either draft the Plan and Trust Document in specimen form, for review by the plan sponsor and its attorney, or assist the sponsor's attorney in the drafting of the Document and its associated Summary Plan Description. Additionally, the Firm will complete the various forms and submit the retirement plan to the IRS in request of an "IRS-determination (opinion)letter."
